VIRTUAL ORIENTATION ON UGC NTA NET:25 MAY 2022 - DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY POSTGRADUATE CENTRE

The Department of Psychology, postgraduate Centre in association with Alumni students conducted a competitive examination orientation on the topic how to crack NET/JRF for postgraduate students and alumni batches on 25 th May 2022 on Google Meet. Nearly 15 students from the final year batch and alumni batches attended the session. The session was conducted by Mr. Aaifer- Beyond Promises, an organisation into training for competitive exams and Mr.Anees Poovathi who qualified JRF in both Psychology and Commerce were the resource persons for the event.

Suaib Ibrahim, Alumni representative and the resource person opened the discussion with why it is essential to appear and clear NET. He explained in detail about how cracking the UGC NET examination as a first step for PhD. He mentioned about the financial support that a JRF qualified candidate would get to support their doctoral education. Students were told about the use of free materials, e books and mock tests available for free use from Mr. Aaifer and all these were shared with the students by Mr.Suaib Ibrahim at the end of the session. The session was then open for question and answers and the speaker answered all the questions from the students. The students were benefitted from the orientation as well as from the free resources shared by the organisation which conducted the training.
